Though a born and raised Californian, I chased a full tuition scholarship all the way to the University of South Dakota, where I earned my English-Creative Writing B.A. with high distinction honors, minoring in film studies and social media marketing. In Fall 2025, I began my creative writing MFA at the University of New Orleans while working for the Tennessee Williams & New Orleans Literary Festival. My creative and academic work can be found in Palette Poetry, Broken Antler Magazine, The Gravity of the Thing, Aisthesis, and other journals. My short films and one-act plays have been featured at the Valkyrie International Film Festival, the South Dakota Film Festival, the Slickrock Film Festival, and the Ron L. Moyer One-Act Festival. I'm pinching myself because now I can also say I'm a 2026 Pushcart Prize, 2026 Best of the Net, 2025 Best American  Short Stories, and 2024 Shirley Jackson Award nominee.

Having worked with several magazines as a writer and editor (and fact checker, for Southlands!), I've gained experience working with multiple genres, but there's a special place in my heart for ensemble dramedies, absurdism, coming-of-age, and anything that's colorfully creepy. Bonus points if it's all of these combined.

I aim to earn advanced degrees in creative writing and am interested in film, theatre,  publishing, academia, and cultural administration (so basically, I'm interested in everything). Above all, I love collaborating with other artists to create something that keeps us working into the night because we just can't pull ourselves away.
